HLA IDEAS is an incubator programme dedicated to supporting social enterprises and non-profit organisations in healthcare. We aim to foster leadership through promoting entrepreneurship among healthcare professionals, aligning with the values of the Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA):

The programme is a two-year journey designed to help initiatives face the unique challenges of establishing and growing a non-profit organisation, focusing on sustainable growth and significant impact rather than quick expansion and profit maximisation.
Brief work description
The Director of HLA IDEAS will lead the strategic development and execution of the HLA IDEAS incubator programme, aligning it with the core values of the Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA). This role involves overseeing the two-year programme, providing mentorship and support to participating initiatives, fostering a community of healthcare professionals interested in social enterprise, and developing partnerships to enhance the programme's impact. The Director will also manage resources and monitor the performance of initiatives, ensuring sustainable growth and significant impact. This is a pivotal leadership role aimed at empowering the next generation of clinical leaders through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Key responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of HLA IDEAS' strategic goals, ensuring alignment with the values and mission of HLA.

Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of the two-year incubator programme, ensuring it meets the needs of participating organisations.

Provide guidance and support to participating initiatives, facilitating access to mentors, resources, and networking opportunities.

Foster a community of practice among healthcare professionals interested in social enterprise, promoting inclusivity and collaboration.

Identify and develop partnerships with external organisations, stakeholders, and funders to enhance the programme's reach and impact.

Manage the allocation of resources, including the budget, to ensure the programme is delivered effectively and sustainably.

Establish metrics and monitor the performance and impact of participating organisations, providing regular reports to the board.
Requirements

Proven experience in leadership roles within the non-profit or healthcare sectors.

Strong understanding of social enterprise and non-profit management.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver educational programmes and mentorship.
