
Vafie Sheriff
Vafie Sheriff is an incoming Academic Foundation Doctor 2024, with interest in Global Health, Public Health and Leadership. He sits on the BMA London Regional Council, and the St Georges University of London Course Validation Panels. Vafie is also the Chair & Director of Student MedAid London, an award winning CIC, and a Trustee for Students for Global Health. He started his global health and leadership journey in 2014 with a 3 month placement in Chittagong, Bangladesh with Volunteering Services Overseas. Since then he has worked and completed projects in Kenya, Morocco and Sierra Leone and worked with various organisations such as Polygeia, Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Sierra Leone, and Tripoli General Hospital Lebanon. He’s in the final year of his medical degree having completed his BSc in Biomedical Science with special interest in Global Health, and an MSc in Global Health and Conflict.
