
Naireen Asim
Dr Naireen Asim MBBS, BSc, FHEA, MSc, MHLA, MAcadMEd is a Resident Doctor in the KSS Deanery with a parallel career in medical education, leadership, and research. Her work centres on widening participation, promoting sustainability in healthcare, and advancing equity within medical education.
She has held prominent national leadership positions, including Director of Academia at In2MedSchool and Research Director at Youth MedAID London, where she led projects tackling healthcare inequality. At St George’s, University of London, she served as President of both the Medical Education Society and OSCE Society, while also contributing to curriculum reform through the development of resources for the UKMLA.
An active researcher and educator, Dr Asim has published in leading journals and delivered presentations on national and international stages. Her contributions have been recognised through numerous awards, including the prestigious RSM Doubleday Prize (2025), the Akindolie Medical Scholarship (2023), and the Healthcare Leadership Academy Scholarship (2023).
Through her clinical practice, academic leadership, and commitment to inclusive education, she continues to champion equitable access, innovation, and sustainability in healthcare.
