
Gabriela Barzyk-Sheriff
Dr Barzyk-Sheriff works extensively in the field of widening participation on a local and national level, supporting various initiatives. She is the Co-Founder and a Trustee at In2MedSchool, a national widening participation charity aimed at supporting students from underprivileged backgrounds aiming to study medicine and get to university. The charity has supported over 3,000 Mentees to date, and has 4,000 volunteers. She is also a Trustee and Director at the Widening Participation Medics Network (WPMN) charity. Gabriela has received various accolades for her work including the Emerging Young Leader Award by the Institute of Leadership, Champion of Social Mobility Award by SSMA, and being a Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars in ESG 2023 Listee, among others.
She is currently working as an SHO in the emergency department.
