Arrash Yassaee

Arrash is a paediatric registrar in London, currently pursuing a PhD at Imperial. His research focuses on developing methods to appraise and validate new-generation digital technologies. He has over a decade's experience across policy, transformation and digital health roles, most recently as Global Clinical Director, Caldicott Guardian and Clinical Safety Officer at a global digital health company. Through his industry work, Arrash has been a key architect for world-first medical device certifications in Europe, USA, and the Middle East, with several projects winning national and international awards. His expertise in developing novel regulatory pathways has seen him present internationally, advise and consult extensively, and invited to contribute to digital health guidance. Prior to his industry work, Arrash held multiple national responsibilities in transformation and health policy, across organisations including NHS England, NHS Improvement, and the Department of Health. In recognition of his contributions to the 7-day hospital services programme, Arrash was awarded Founding Associate Fellow status of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, the youngest recipient of this award.Outside of his academic and innovation roles, Arrash enjoys teaching and mentoring, including as a Faculty member of the Healthcare Leadership Academy. For the last 5 years he has also been a Local Authority Governor at Stephen Hawking school, which supports children and young people with profound, multiple and severe learning, health and care needs.
