​​The HLA Cohort Directors Weekend is a unique in-person event held in the scenic surroundings of Devon. Designed to empower our cohort directors, this weekend will focus on building community connections, enhancing scholar engagement, and setting strategic goals for the year ahead. This immersive experience includes interactive workshops, leadership discussions, and strategic planning sessions—all to strengthen the HLA community's impact.​​

The HLA Cohort Directors Weekend will offer a blend of interactive learning and strategic planning. This cohort weekend will focus on a theme or themes that have come up during the year. Participants will prepare with pre-reading, engaging in discussions to explore ideas for enhancing HLA’s community. Across two workshops, attendees will develop leadership, mentorship, and community-building skills. The weekend also includes sessions for reviewing past achievements and setting future goals, with small-group discussions to refine strategies for networking and scholar engagement. To conclude, participants will complete a reflective exercise to outline key takeaways for their roles in the HLA community.
