The Healthcare Leadership Academy is looking for a committed and forward-thinking leader to join the Senior Management Team (SMT). This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the academic direction of the HLA, strengthening our curriculum and assessment processes, and ensuring that our programmes continue to provide a high-quality experience for our Scholars.

In this role, you will take operational ownership of the HLA's academic architecture, including curriculum development, assessment and progression processes, academic resources, and relevant policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing and maintaining the HLA Scholar curriculum and ensuring alignment across the Scholar year and wider HLA programmes

• Leading the curriculum development, planning and pilot framework for the HLA Educator Fellowship

• Ensuring appropriate academic resources, guidance and learning materials are in place

• Overseeing Scholar assessment frameworks, marking processes and progression milestones

• Developing and maintaining policies relating to Scholar progression and academic interventions

• Working collaboratively with other SMT members, Cohort Directors, Faculty and the wider HLA team

• Supporting the development of educational and workshop content for HLA events and programmes

Who are we looking for?

We are particularly interested in candidates who can bring structured, systems-focused educational leadership to the SMT.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience or a strong background in curriculum design, educational compliance, academic auditing or professional accreditation

• Experience in educational programme development, assessment or academic quality assurance

• Strong programme management and organisational skills

• The ability to develop clear frameworks, policies and sustainable processes

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and collaborative working skills

• An interest in improving Scholar development, progression and the overall quality of HLA programmes
