Director of Programme Quality Assurance and Strategy

The Director of Programme Quality Assurance and Strategy will lead and oversee the quality assurance processes for all HLA programmes. This role is pivotal in ensuring that HLA maintains the highest standards across its offerings. The role holder will chair the HLA Programmes Quality Assurance Board and provide strategic oversight for programme quality assurance.

This position provides the opportunity to influence and enhance the structure and delivery of the HLA’s educational programmes, ensuring alignment with best practices in healthcare leadership education.

Key Responsibilities:

Chairing the quality assurance board
-
Convene and lead the HLA Programmes Quality Assurance Board on a quarterly basis.

Ensure that all programme quality assurance measures align with the strategic goals of the HLA.

Board membership and governance
-
Appoint up to four members to the Quality Assurance Board.

Work closely with HR to establish Terms of Reference for the appointed board members.

Ensure that the Managing Director and other senior management team members have sight, input and are informed of all activities and operational implications of the work of the Quality Assurance Board.

Quality assurance and strategic oversight

Provide leadership and guidance on programme quality assurance and strategy.

Monitor and review programme content, delivery, and outcomes to maintain high standards.

Implement feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in the programme structure.​

Requirements:
-
Must be a current or past HLA Cohort Director.
-
Hold observer status in the HLA Senior Management Team.

Engage with senior leadership on strategic quality assurance matters but with requirement to attend regular SMT meetings as and when needed and appropriate

Attendance in person at the HLA Cohort Directors Weekend as and when needed.

Willingness represent the organisation externally at events with sufficient notice

Be able to organise team meetings for the team the individual will develop and support the individuals through virtual meetings and communication tools (slack, email, MA App)

Responsible for budget when allocated

Appraisal and management of others as required

Support Scholars and Faculty Members within the community

Support, train and on a temporary basis where required, be able to cover SMT members in their functions and responsibilities
