Education, training and qualifications |
For applicants in the UK and EU, the candidate must be one of the following:

Applicants in the UK and EU must be studying a course that leads to primary healthcare qualification (medicine, dentistry, nursing, PA’s) which leads up to registration to a regulatory body (GMC, NMC, HCPC etc).
- A clinician registered with the either the GMC, NMC or HCPC or equivalent registration bodies in your country of residence within 14 years of registration.

- A health policy qualification.

Skills and knowledge |
- A demonstrable knowledge and/or understanding of their national healthcare structures and relevant health policy organisations.
- An active ‘extra-curricular’ interest in current health policy debates and medico-political issues.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

- Experience engaging directly with relevant organisations.
|
Experience |
- Experience speaking publicly (e.g. a public speaking or debating society, presenting work to peers or at a conference).
- Experience as part of a leadership team in any walk of life.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- A strong motivation to improve society and national healthcare systems for the benefit of ordinary people.

Other special requirements |
- Be able to commit to all the sessions in the cohort you apply for, for the duration of the programme.
- Excellent technical skills in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Be able to commit to pursuing a project for the duration of the programme. The project is envisaged to require a minimum of 3-4 hours a month for development and delivery.

- Be able to attend ad hoc meetings in London, Newcastle, Bristol, Edinburgh, Belfast and/or Amsterdam.
